Pros

Helping hard of hearing people communicate better!

Cons

Our challenges as Territory Managers are finding it harder and harder to find the hard of hearing people that also need our CC phone! Simply due to the new hearing aid and cell phone technology has outgrown our CC technology! Home phones are phasing out!! Also very troubling that the upper management has become greedy and do not appreciate their employees! Upper management has set unrealistic goals! ClearCaptions has become a "turn and burn" company - they will fire someone in a second! This company has overlooked and forgotten how hard the TM's are working out here! Me as well as many other TM's throughout the country are very unhappy employees! TM's feel that we are the backbone to this company and feel we have NO VOICE! ClearCaptions waste more time and taxpayers money with the hiring and firing as a solution rather than concentrating on the different obstacles and demographic challenges! The event coordinator's are a joke and absolutely no help at all (at time of hire I was told they would be required to find me at least 4 events per month) I've only had 4 from them ever! TM's have so many daily responsibilities ... admin expense reports, inventory, generating growth with BDM's, finding and scheduling events - mandatory 12 -14 event/presentations per month, signing up and scheduling customers and then installing phones - plus all service calls, RMA's, retraining and/or fixing broken phones. TM's are constantly being micro managed on a daily basis with 20-40 text messages and 20 -30 emails daily! TM's are constantly moving and on the run - My car has become my office! I haven't ever taken a vacation due to I've been told by management if they do approve it and I don't make my required monthly #'s I would be written up! I work about 65 + hours a week and it's still not enough to keep up! The top management keeps pushing us so hard, TM's are constantly reminded how fast we can be replaced! Why is Clear Captions selling our FREE phones to "hard of hearing customers"?? ADA states it's a civil right to get this phone at no cost if one has any form of hearing loss! Why are they having to pay anything? ClearCaptions is also turning off installed phones to qualified customer if the customer doesn't use the phone enough! Why? Because they are making money on the "captions" when customer uses the phone and if they don't use the phone enough they are not make money! Simply Shameful! I was hopeful for a long time that CC would figure it all out and we could grow past these growing pains but now I have lost my faith - Looking for new employment!

Pros

Peer employees were great to work with

Cons

*First 5 years without raise. Left company making roughly $4 more an hour despite rave reviews on annual performance reviews. *Continually minimized positive and perks of employment *Disorganized management who lack transparency *Management will gaslight you when you have concerns *You are only a number, even after 8 years of service they will "restructure" an entire department overnight *Stressful and anxiety inducing, not because of the tasks, but because *management changes their mind constantly. Our team motto was "PIVOT!" A lot of time wasted because someone changed their mind. *dysfunctional SOPs and uneducated KPIs.
