Pros

Worked at the corporate office. The desk level people are amazing and it's a very young atmosphere. You do have perks such as gym and a deli and beautiful building. But that's where it all ends....

Cons

Management is awful and doesn't have the slightest idea as to what they're doing, there is no guidance or training so be prepared to teach yourself and than get told you're doing it wrong. Management is never on the same page and they all will teach you how to achieve something differently. Many promises were made that they could never follow through with. The higher ups have amazing views of how the company should be but they could never follow through.

Pros

- remote - great quarterly incentive - modern tech stack

Cons

The biggest downside of working at Crane is the top down culture of micro management. This includes daily checklists for jira updates, tracking software that tracks things such as who you talk to most on Teams, code reviews that focus more on formatting and white spaces rather than logic and delivering value, and the list goes on. Crane was not like this when I first joined and the IT department grew substantially, but I think chalking it up to scaling is more of an excuse than true root cause. Additionally, communication from leadership is awful and paired with the micromanagement leads to low morale across the engineering team.
