Pros

Working for Crescent made me realize that I have a very strong business ethic along with a high level of customer service. It helped me to identify that cronyism still exist and how it can make a business inert. It empowered me to take control of my situation and leave in a very graceful manner. Crescent is not for me, but I'm not lazy, I have no friends in the company, I have high standards and I want to succeed through my work and actions not my inflated fake review of myself.

Cons

My experience with Crescent was very poor. I worked in an Executive position at a property where the GM was asking all of us to join in with him on yelp, google and other social media review sites to create a fake account in order to be able to give our property a great review to help our overall rating. Instead of spending time developing our teams we were creating a false representation of ourselves and then compensating the place away when people had terrible experiences. When we received a bad review the GM used the information he had gathered from their stay, found out they were a business owner, created a fake account and went onto their business review site and bashed them. The exciting thing is he was made, was on the local news and even made it to Reddit exposing him for the fraud he was. So my issue with Crescent is I documented it all and sent it all the way to the top where it was ignored, then I was retaliated against on property and that was elevated as well also ignored. Now that I have written this I understand what the pros were.

Pros

Working at Crescent Hotels offers an exceptional opportunity to grow both personally and professionally. The company is led by an ownership group that genuinely cares about its properties, guests, and team members, creating a culture built on support and respect. Employees are encouraged to learn all aspects of hotel operations, providing valuable hands-on experience and a well-rounded understanding of the hospitality industry. Crescent is also committed to career development, offering outstanding training programs and advancement opportunities that help team members achieve their professional goals. In addition, employees enjoy competitive healthcare benefits, a strong retirement savings plan, and excellent travel benefits, making Crescent Hotels a great place to build a long-term career.

Cons

Like any hospitality organization, there can be challenges such as ongoing maintenance needs and periods of being short-staffed, which can place additional demands on team members. At times, there may also be a need for greater support and communication between ownership and property-level teams to help create a stronger buffer and ensure operational concerns are addressed efficiently. However, these challenges can also provide opportunities for employees to develop problem-solving skills, adaptability, and leadership experience.

Pros

I was going to give up on hospitality as a whole due to poor management from other properties I worked at, but I saw this position open online and decided to give hospitality one more chance. The second I walked in for the interview, I knew it was the place for me. I have been here for 8 months and I love this job. I am happy here and I love working with my coworkers. I am always happy to go to work and I give it my best. I appreciate the praises, but most importantly the areas where I can improve.

Cons

I honestly don't have any cons of working here. I really love it here.
