Cons
Multiple people in upper management come from low tech background such as automotive industry. They are not capable of understanding the technology and drive innovation. Primitive projects they are able to understand get assigned large numbers of people. Truly complicated projects get suffocated and end up being delayed or picked up by ASML. Swearing and yelling at people is a norm. Too many managers. Every engineers has 5 managers he has to report his results to. Group leads, team leads, project managers, project cluster managers, and so on. Huge turnover. Most of the truly talented people get driven out resulting in knowledge gaps. No recognition of success. Since managers are not capable of understanding the technology the credit goes to people reporting good results, not to people who actually did the work. Shoot the messenger mentality results in people hiding anything that can displease the upper management. Unprofessional, disrespectful, and caustic people are put in project leadership roles. Verbal abuse and insults even in public are a norm. Outdated, underequipped facilities.
