Pros
DSW, not a lot of stress to begin with. It was very chill for the most part. If you are student, they gave you great flexibility about your availability, which made it quite easy to squeeze work times when you were off from school. Furthermore, you do not need to be in the beach to see gorgeous people because DSW is a magnet for gorgeous people.
Cons
Each shift will most likely be 4 hours, and if you were lucky, you get 6 hours but for the most part, it was 4 hours a shift. Each week, you will average around 16 hours if all is well, but if not, then you might be just 4 to 8 hours a week. If you don't go to school, being a full time associate for DSW is not advisable. Furthermore, there was alot of favoritism in this company. The favorites would get great hours. If you were a favorite, you will most likely get about 22 to 32 hours and work in the mornings or mid-shift, which would give you ample time to bond with your managers because the store will be slow on those hours. If you are not a favorite, you will most likely get the closing shift with 4 to 8 hours a week work schedule. DSW work should just be considered as a supplemental employment, meaning it would be great to have it as a second or third job but never a main one.
