Great place to work full-time. But full-time work is hard to get. - Anonymous employee DePaul University Employee Review

Pros

Great reputation. A good atmosphere and nice people. If you are not part-time, there are a lot more reasons to work there. As a part-time job, it's a good environment and a respectful environment. Could be more challenging. The hourly wage is better than most comparable jobs. No complaints there. However, limited available hours and no benefits makes it a difficult place to stay if you need to make a living.

Cons

If you are full-time, it's a wonderful place. If you are part-time, it's very difficult to move up with the University to a full-time position. So...no benefits, paid vacation, or tuition breaks.

Pros

The Center for Community Research under Prof. Leonard Jason has been the privilege of a lifetime. Despite being a giant in the field, he's extremely down to earth and helpful (and unreasonably astute– like talking to ChatGPT in real time).

Cons

Genuinely none. It's a work environment that's highly independent, and if you need a resource with a vast history of knowledge about community psychology, you've got one of the most prominent (probably top 5?) community psychologists a few doors down. Can't complain at all.
