Pros

Pleasant work environment - most students and co-workers are friendly. Encourages learning. and self-development. Full-time staff members receive free tuition. Access to many current software programs and library resources. Family friendly - encourages work-life balance. Generous benefits and vacation.

Cons

Some administrators and managers lack communication skills and really do not understand the Vincentian mission. In many departments, there are no job advancement opportunities for current employees. HR is quite invisible and difficult to contact. Part-time employees have difficulty obtaining full-time positions within the university.

Pros

The Center for Community Research under Prof. Leonard Jason has been the privilege of a lifetime. Despite being a giant in the field, he's extremely down to earth and helpful (and unreasonably astute– like talking to ChatGPT in real time).

Cons

Genuinely none. It's a work environment that's highly independent, and if you need a resource with a vast history of knowledge about community psychology, you've got one of the most prominent (probably top 5?) community psychologists a few doors down. Can't complain at all.
