Pros

Free food and beer sometimes. Doesn't require thinking. Very monotonous.

Cons

Long hours, low wages, poor leadership, and a downright insulting work flow. Working here showed me how terrible the private sector can be. From having to consistently put up with toxic social interactions, erratic leadership, fluid goal posts, and no professional growth opportunities this company is truly killing innovation faster than any tech company I've seen. The leadership during my time not only threatened not to pay me after I found a new job, they also didn't take any feedback that any employees gave seriously. They did not put in nearly as much work as the entry level employees. They had so many guidelines, best practices, and work flows that it was impossible to do the job up to their standards. The campaign coordinator team that the graphics design team worked with was untrained, basically unsupervised, and had zero experience working on computers in many cases. The leadership also promoted a communication style where employees were told to chat each other, even when they were in the same room. When you can't write, you can't chat, therefore you can't communicate, and therefore you get frustrated. This was a horrible experience on almost every level, and I am so glad to have left.
