Pros

Dropbox is one of the few companies of its size that seem to genuinely care about employee wellness. Work/life balance is good, PTO is unlimited, compensation is fair. They are careful to avoid over-hiring to reduce the chances of future layoffs. Virtual First = can work from anywhere.

Cons

It's more political than ideal. Can be difficult to get promoted. Very difficult to push decisions through when there are cross-team dependencies. Frequent leadership changes and annual reorgs. Comp is location based, so pay is significantly lower outside of major metro areas.

Pros

Benefits: - Personal wellbeing allowance - Annual performance bonus - Equity - Internet & cell phone reimbursement

Cons

Very little room for growth. No real sense of job security due to the constant layoffs. Execs chase the latest and greatest trends, only to abandon projects halfway through. There’s no real sense of leadership or direction—where’s the company headed? What’s the actual goal of [xyz] project?
