Pros

- The CEO, investors, and leadership team are all top notch. Couldn't ask for a better foundation to build off of. - The business serves a huge market and has few legitimate competitors, because there are high barriers to entry. Translation - lots of potential. - Customers love the product. Considering the product itself was completely neglected for the better part of a decade, there are thousands of companies large and small that swear by Earth Class Mail. - You can have a meaningful impact on the business. - Work/life balance is a priority. - Compensation and benefits are very competitive. P.S. The company is internet-famous, just search for "Startup Junkies"...

Cons

- A lot of baggage from a mis-managed past that we still need to unpack, which presents challenges at times. But, if you like a challenging and dynamic work environment, this is barely a con.

Pros

The job is remote, which is really the only nice thing I have to say about the experience.

Cons

Roles/responsibilities constantly changing. A lot of wasted time in meetings. End up doing a lot of management work for them. Poor communication. In all the experience was all over the place, the role kept changing, consistently asked to do things not specified in the job description or that I had been hired for. Very unorganized. Bad follow-through on compensating me for extra work. It took months to get paid for additional work I had been asked to do. Even then the pay was not what had been promised. Management is all over the place, very poor and unprofessional work experience. When wanting to take time off, I had to give reasons why and plead my case as to why it was important. If you expect a remote job in which you have your responsibilities and you can clock in and work, and then work is done at the end of the shift, this is not that role. Management is far too intermingled in your personal lives, but in a manipulative way, to where they can put more responsibility on you. Compensation for the role is very low. I started through a temp agency and was promised I could renegotiate my salary if/when taken on full-time. Then was stonewalled when the time came, and given the run around of excuses. There is no opportunity for advancement. I took this job while a student, and it primarily served its purpose, other than making barely above minimum wage in my market. I would avoid it unless you really want a primarily remote-based work environment, with that being the only positive.
