Pros

They invested millions of dollars in new technology, which was a good learning experience. There were a few talented people on my team.

Cons

Most of my team members never spoke, they just kept to themselves and did not like to share their knowledge. Not a sociable atmosphere at all. The El Monte Operations center is in a terrible area, the building was old, smelly and filled with roaches. The A/C didn't work most of the time. Being located in the San Gabriel Valley where the average summer temperature is 100°, it was often unbearable. Management is a joke. The same bad managers keep getting promoted over and over again, making more and more money. A lot of office politics. The HR department is also a joke. When you have a legitimate complaint against your supervisor, they side with the company, not yours. Employee favoritism is HUGE in this company. You can do a great job and get nothing (no compliments, feedback on your performance, raise, or bonus), or you can do a lousy job and get promoted AND a raise, if you are “in” with the right manager. They also eliminated the work from home policy, but some certain “favorite” people still got to work from home.

Pros

I gained valuable experience working with customers and processing different banking transactions. The environment was professional, and I learned how important accuracy and teamwork are in daily operations. My manager was approachable, and I always felt comfortable asking questions when I needed help.

Cons

Some days are much busier than others, especially when the branch has a high volume of walk-in clients.

Pros

This was a great place to start and develop my banking career. I received proper training and was given opportunities to take on more responsibilities over time. The work helped improve my communication skills and attention to detail. I also enjoyed working with supportive colleagues.

Cons

There can be a lot of paperwork and compliance requirements, but that's expected in the banking industry.
