Pros
They invested millions of dollars in new technology, which was a good learning experience. There were a few talented people on my team.
Cons
Most of my team members never spoke, they just kept to themselves and did not like to share their knowledge. Not a sociable atmosphere at all. The El Monte Operations center is in a terrible area, the building was old, smelly and filled with roaches. The A/C didn't work most of the time. Being located in the San Gabriel Valley where the average summer temperature is 100°, it was often unbearable. Management is a joke. The same bad managers keep getting promoted over and over again, making more and more money. A lot of office politics. The HR department is also a joke. When you have a legitimate complaint against your supervisor, they side with the company, not yours. Employee favoritism is HUGE in this company. You can do a great job and get nothing (no compliments, feedback on your performance, raise, or bonus), or you can do a lousy job and get promoted AND a raise, if you are “in” with the right manager. They also eliminated the work from home policy, but some certain “favorite” people still got to work from home.
