Only care about the bottom line, which means low salaries, lots of contractors (that don't become FTE's) and frequent layoffs. It is a frequent occurance to have a (big) layoff and then due to too much trimming, a year or two later bringing back some formerly laid off ee's at a super reduction in salary. So if you stay at ESI for any length of time, do well and are rewarded for it - you could easily become a target for the next round of layoffs.
