Pros

They have significant health benefits

Cons

The workplace environment is marked by nepotism and a pervasive white savior complex. Many Senior/Director hires are friends of management who lack the necessary skills and emotional intelligence to lead teams effectively. The recently acquired company appears to be taking over leadership, but the strategic direction remains unclear. I recommend leaving once you’ve gained all you can from the role/company. There is a noticeable level of microaggression from white female managers. While I can respect tough leadership when it’s backed by competence, we’re dealing with senior directors who struggle with basic tasks, like embedding links in PDFs or PowerPoint presentations. The disparity between the quality of work and the entitlement is glaring. In one instance, they developed entire campaigns focused on Black communities without involving any Black or Brown team members. If there is diversity on the team—whether Black, Brown, or LGBTQIA+—know that your contributions may only be sought during certain months, such as February, September, or June.

Pros

Good workplace culture, values employees, leadership is transparent and regularly surveys the workplace to inform business decisions.

Cons

Contract based work is always a mixed-bag. Can sometimes become easy to get stuck working on a particular contract without ability to move laterally.
