Contract based work is always a mixed-bag. Can sometimes become easy to get stuck working on a particular contract without ability to move laterally.

I liked the unlimited time off, but by the time I left, that was on the chopping block

Cons

Unclear career development path Company did not have the military expertise it claims Every year I was at the company, at least one person I knew and liked was laid off. That kind of action does not inspire loyalty or confidence in an organization.

Micromanagement hell, with the amount of nitpicking done by managers of EVERYONE under them is truly insane. Almost makes most people seem redundant.
