Pros

Pay was good, benefits great,, some other minor perks like discounted food.

Cons

No support from Human Resources or managers whatsoever. While working there, my younger brother passed away requiring me to take time off. After leaving 15 messages, one person in HR called me back 13 days after the fact to explain benefits to me, which is not what I was calling about. They outsource leave and paperwork to Matrix (3rd party) and after jumping through hoops and completing my paperwork THREE times, they claimed they never got it. Godaddy supervisors are of no help either. Not one single supervisor (8 different sups in a year) knew who I reported to as I was listed on a bilingual team whose supervisor was second shift. The biggest issue was that being 3rd shift, no HR reps were available to us. I waited around most morning after my shift to speak with them but they rarely are in their office. Being part of certain cliques will get you advancement regardless of qualifications.

I am so very sorry to hear about the loss of your brother and about your poor experience with the GoDaddy Human Resources team. As a leader in People Operations, I take this feedback very seriously, and we will work hard as a team to assess where the gap may have occurred. A 13 day returned response is unacceptable. Additionally, we continue to partner closely with all of our vendors to make sure that our processes are streamlined and easy for all team members to follow. It is very unfortunate that you had to complete paperwork three different times. The People Operations team is here to partner with GoDaddy team members at all levels and across all shifts, both locally as well as internationally. If a site People Operations representative is not typically onsite at certain hours, we are willing to flex schedules to meet with team members, and are available at all hours in case of an emergency. We will increase the communication of such so that the teams are aware, as it appears that this was not properly communicated to you, and I apologize that you had to wait around after your shift. Thank you again for your feedback.

Pros

Great benefits, cool people (not including leadership)

Cons

- You'll be worked like a slave, told when you can take your breaks and lunches. - Boy's Club. If you're in it, you can get away with lying to customers, breaking company policy, and basically whatever you want. If you're not part of it, watch your back, you'll be hyper-scrutinized for every action you take. - Commissions are capped, so top performers are limited. - This is not a true sales job, you are taking inbound customer service calls and will be expected to do technical support and deal with escalated inbound customers. - Much of the job has been outsourced to a Business Partner Organization (BPO) in the Philippines. Because they aren't true GoDaddy employees, they are allowed to operate like the wild wild west. Lying to customers, selling them duplicate products, deleting things from their accounts and reselling them the same product. Basically a complete legal nightmare... but you aren't allowed to complain about it and you are expected to fix all the problems they create.
