Pros
All of the career opportunities for most departments, good communications, fantastic benefits, Awesome Senior leadership, easy work/life balance, In most departments there is fairness, recognition and respect. Teamwork is also a positive in most departments. Training / education dollars are fantastic. There is a customer service attitude that is above and beyond anything I have ever seen. Employee morale is at an all time high according to the surveys that are taken. Benefits include medical, dental, eyes, 401k, money purchase plans, giving back to the communities that we live in and do business with. Being proud to represent Great River Energy at the Minnesota State Fair.
Cons
Company cutbacks in 2008-2010 mean that there are no positions available to apply for consequently no where to grow, It is also very disappointing to have temporary hires and new hires coming in with less experience but making more money than full time employees that have been there over ten years who have more experience and more responsibilities. Good people are leaving and it is happening more frequently now that we are in Maple Grove and it's just as easy to drive down the street to get paid a whole lot more than we are getting for a wage now.
