Pros
While H&H is a moderate-sized firm competing on multi-million dollar transportation design projects, it still maintains the sense of familiarity on friendliness among peers on ALL levels - Many of the Principals and Senior Associates make a concerted effort to know their employees on a personal level; Knowledgeable and supportive staff - Most staff members, located across the U.S, provide immediate assistance on a wide-range of tasks (even without ever meeting them!); Well-established firm experiencing a steady surge of business growth and development - Opportunities are greatly increasing for all engineering disciplines and administrative positions - the firm size has doubled since I began my employment in 2015; Significant room for professional growth and career advancement!; Fun firmwide events (like cooking for charity) help unify employees and build relationships.
Cons
As H&H expands their presence, both nationally and internationally, it is more difficult to capitalize on that sense of unity and familiarity as a new team member. The farther you are from the core HQ - the more you need to work to gain recognition - but it's possible!
