Pros
I worked in a braunch office, not the NYC HQ for reference, though on my visits to NYC and working with those in other offices I have no reason to believe it would be any different elsewhere. The braunch manager and supervisor(s) were very supportive and great mentors. You don't need to be afraid to ask questions, as long as they're well timed they're often appreciated actually. Compensation was competitive. The intent is NOT to be a hire/fire firm. From what I've seen they make every effort to share work load from office to office to avoid that. They may have had to lay people off at times, but it does not seem like it's the norm.
Cons
-You can at times end up working a lot of hours, but I'm learning that's more and more part of this field, and they're always very appreciative of the efforts. Often with compensation/bonus, which you don't get everywhere at the level I was at. (<10 years) -Some, though not all, of the young staff can get a little clique-ish at times.
