Pros

I met some great employees.

Cons

My experience with Hersha has been quite disappointing. There were several issues that made it an unpleasant workplace. First and foremost, there was a lack of training provided, which left me feeling unprepared and unsupported in my role. Additionally, favoritism was evident, creating an unfair and demoralizing environment for employees. The company culture was toxic, with no efforts made to address or resolve conflicts. Furthermore, there were no bonuses or incentives offered, despite the hard work put in by employees. This lack of recognition made it difficult to stay motivated. To make matters worse, I observed a troubling practice where hardworking individuals were terminated while lazy and troubled workers were allowed to stay. This unfair treatment only added to the frustration and demoralization felt by the employees. I also became aware that the company hired illegal immigrants without proper documentation, which raised ethical concerns and highlighted an irresponsible approach to hiring practices. The management's decision to reduce hours to a bare minimum created a skeleton workforce, putting excessive pressure on the remaining employees. This high turnover rate was a clear indication of the disarray within the organization. Furthermore, the expectation to work six days per week with no consideration for work-life balance was unreasonable and unsustainable. It became increasingly clear that the company prioritized profits over the well-being of its employees. A particularly frustrating aspect was the unrealistic goals set for employees. These goals were often difficult to achieve. I met all the goals they assigned you but still they said it was not fast enough. It was so ungrateful. It felt like a punishment for striving to meet the targets that the company itself had established. In conclusion, based on my experiences, I would strongly advise others to avoid working for Hersha. The lack of training, favoritism, toxic environment, absence of bonuses, unethical hiring practices, high turnover rate, and disregard for work-life balance make it an unfavorable place to work. It's best to seek opportunities elsewhere where your efforts and well-being will be valued and respected.

Pros

Colleagues are fun to work with

Cons

Management is terrible. They expect you to do things around their timeline, but when you ask them for something, crickets. There are no sop's. This place flies by the rest of their pants and half the stuff you do is questionable. When you do question it, it's just how it is. Expect to put in about 5-10 hours of overtime each month.
