Pros

I had 3 managers at my time. Two out of the three I was extremely happy with. My Last manager was AWESOME! He runs the Cloud Enablement & Innovations and is great to work for. If you get a chance to work with him do it. I adore the guys who run staffing. They are kind, have great advice, and just bring a great energy into the office. Paid is super high for an entry level job. If money is a driver this place might be a good fit.

Cons

It took HR over 8 months to answers my harassment complaint. I asked for a harassment training as a response to a company leader making comments about the attractiveness of myself and other women in the office in addition to making rude comments about women at an event. It took a very long time for one to happy and the person I filed the complaint about was nearly 40 minutes late to the training. While my last manager was great he was only my manager for about a month. When I was hired I was told I would be 50% sales and 50% marketing. I took the job because I had a strong interest in marketing and a commission check sounded great. No one cleared that by the CEO. After I moved from NYC to Princeton, NJ for the job I was told the CEO did not want me doing marketing but only sales. I was then told I would be doing Telemarketing. Cool, learn a new skill but here is the thing no one taught me how to do or even what our products were. I spend a year working in cloud computing and can still barely explain it. I had to independently train myself with no support. I was then given a list of people to cold call. 100s a day with little time to research. My only advice was to make a joke. I never made a sale; in reality only one in eight cold calls are answered and rarely to do those lead to a sale. When I went to seek out mentorship to grow my sales skills I was told off and made to solely focus on the phones. From 7am to 7 pm I would call and get nothing. Just voicemail after voicemail. The marketing director wanted to mentor me and grow my skills but I was told not to work with her and just cold call. So basically while there are great people there and CEI has awesome leadership; if you are a woman, minority, or fresh out of school I would avoid.

Pros

Ethical and Supportive Leadership – The leadership, including CEO Anil Singh and then VP Venkatram, genuinely care about the people they bring in. They don’t just treat employees like numbers. ✅ Smooth Transition to the U.S. – From day one, they made sure I was set up properly. I was given a place to stay (Anil’s first home in the U.S.), a $5,000 advance paycheck, and personal support to get my paperwork in order. ✅ Personal Attention – VP Venkatram personally drove me to the SSA office and even took me out for lunch afterward. They made sure I didn’t crash from jet lag, ensuring I started my journey right. ✅ Integrity in Business Practices – Unlike many body shops that treat people as disposable, Hanu took responsibility for their hires. They didn’t engage in shady dealings or exploitative practices. ✅ Real Opportunities – They provided a legitimate pathway for skilled professionals to establish themselves in the U.S., not just as a stepping stone but as a place to build something solid.

Cons

Some Unethical Employees Took Advantage – A few individuals who benefited from Hanu’s support turned around and badmouthed the very people who helped them. Instead of appreciating the opportunity, they spread negativity. ❌ Tough Industry to Navigate – While Hanu itself was ethical, the broader consulting industry is full of people who don’t play fair. Sometimes, it felt like doing the right thing wasn’t enough when others around were cutting corners. ❌ Growth Challenges – Like any company, Hanu had to balance growth while maintaining its ethical standards. Some people saw this as a limitation, but I’d take integrity over shortcuts any day.
