Pros

They have a ton of educational resources.

Cons

They are very, very stringent on their coding productivity and quality. This could be seen as a great thing, unless you're a slower coder like me. Also, you are very much just a cog in the wheel at this company. They don't care at all about you as an individual-- in my opinion.

Thank you for your review. At HIA we use several different coaching styles to help staff attain their productivity and quality goals. These include access to our extensive coding education library and one on one coaching. We understand coding is a balance between productivity and quality and work alongside our staff to achieve their goals. HIA gets to know our staff by offering on-site training. We have mid-week momentum meetings. We know their Birthday and Work Anniversary dates and are happy to celebrate these milestones! We live by our motto: The People Behind the Numbers!

Cons

-empty promises -firing for no reason -Auditors that are so hard headed they don’t want to listen to reasoning when presented with guidelines. -oh and they also push for current employees to go make false reviews whenever they get bad ones to try to bring the number back up.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We appreciate both positive and critical feedback, as it helps us reflect on where we are doing well and where we have opportunities to improve. We’re glad to hear that you valued the flexibility of remote work, the training experience in Pawleys Island, and the recognition efforts such as trips and gifts. Providing meaningful opportunities and investing in our team members is something we strive to do consistently. That said, we are concerned to hear about your perceptions regarding communication, auditing processes, and separation decisions. Any employment action is taken with careful consideration, and we aim to follow established guidelines while acting in the best interests of our employees and the organization. We recognize, however, that the impact of these decisions can feel unclear or unfair when expectations are not communicated effectively, and that is an area we continue to work on. Regarding our audit process, we value thoughtful discussion and professional dialogue, and we are actively reinforcing the importance of listening, collaboration, and respectful consideration of guidelines across all teams. We also want to clarify that we do not encourage false or misleading reviews. We do invite employees to share their honest experiences—positive or negative—because transparency is essential to growth and accountability. Senior leadership is committed to maintaining open lines of communication and ensuring we are aware of concerns at all levels of the organization. Feedback like yours is taken seriously and helps inform ongoing improvements in oversight, training, and management practices. We wish you the best in your future endeavors and thank you again for sharing your perspective.
