Pros
HealthStream has a strong and well-established culture of remote work. Until recently, there has been a solid focus on work-life balance that I found refreshing, because most companies these days treat you as if you should be on call 24/7 and don't care what responsibilities you have to attend to in your off hours.
Cons
There are limited opportunities for career development in my line of work. A lot of what is delegated to me is various admin and data entry tasks instead of on projects that are related to my career goals, which makes it difficult for me to develop any meaningful experience or accomplishments that I could carry with me to the next level of my career path. This is true even though I changed career paths during my time here, because I was promised more projects that would be relevant to my career development if I switched roles. That hasn't panned out at all, and I feel very stagnant. Furthermore, I feel that my efficiency and expertise are punished with busywork, which is extremely demotivating. The focus on work-life balance seems to be disappearing, too, which is unfortunate.
