Pros

Number one - the people. There is a culture of positivity and we all lift each other up and support one another. The two managers I've had over the last five years have been top notch. Although we have annual goals that require WORK, the expectations are at least reasonable, and we are provided with the tools to get there. If you're good at sales and have a good work ethic, you should thrive. And the commission really adds up.

Cons

There are LOTS of processes in place for all the functions an Account Manager does in a day, but on the flip side, the processes WORK and that keeps us all consistent. The base is on the low side, but I learned fast that those commissions start to pile up and it makes this position competitive from an overall income standpoint as companies I worked for with double the base salary.

Pros

My team and the connections I've made, their support and strong team effort.

Cons

Had 3 managers in first year. Lack of communication and leadership. Pay is substantially lower than competition. No Work/Life balance - all work! HR was ineffective, and slow to respond to issues and questions. Management only sees dollar signs and are quick to make judgements regarding employee's work, have unreal expectations, show no compassion, and put people in boxes... giving no feeling of belonging. The workforce development platform is outdated and there is a lack of connection with sales and product teams to discuss what client's urgently need. HSTM cannot keep up.
