Pros

This place will hire just about anybody. This can mean easy access to an entry level tech job

Cons

Movement is very limited. Room for growth is lacking. Policies are garbage and anybody that isn't in management doesn't feel any benefit from working at this company. There is punishment for working overtime, and the attendance policy feels terrible. Upper management talks a whole lot about how great everything is and how everything is going to get much better but provide nothing in the form of proof. Most people have to wait a full year before getting basic benefits, including holiday pay.

Pros

HCS is a relatively small company compared to other places I have worked. At first this was a little odd, coming from a Corporation with literally tens of thousands of employees. As a smaller company, it is easier to be recognized when performing above expectation. From a culture standpoint, it is obvious they try to keep the small company feel with Picnics, Ice Cream Socials, Cupcake Socials, and employee luncheons. As far as the work is concerned, it can be challenging, but rewarding. As with just about any other company, you are going to get out of it whatever you are willing to put into it. It seems there has a been a lot of growth in the last several months and it sounds like there is quite a bit more to come.

Cons

Some folks don't care for the "old fashioned" philosophies regarding cleaning the building as a team instead of hiring a janitorial crew, but when you see the results, it's tough to argue. Other than that, the "rules" and "policies" seem to make sense based on the work being performed.
