Pros

Buildings are clean and the hours are consistent.

Cons

Everything else. Waking up to go to this job was so stressful because of how awful the environment is. Like others have said, training is nonexistent, and then they're irritated with you when you make mistakes. They're overly uptight about dress code in an environment where dress code probably doesn't matter because no one will see you, other than corporate. They play 60s hits, which would be fine, if the "hits" were actually hits and didn't completely suck. Stay away from this place. They lie to you when you apply, and tell you how incredible the growth of the company is and that's why their turnover rate is so high. Well guess what, that's not why, it's because people keep quitting because the job sucks.

Pros

-Hard to Get fired -Very easy

Cons

This place is a stepping stone, and/or a resume builder. My goal with this review is to provide you an in-depth look at what this place is about based on my personal experience as well as discussions with other employees throughout the company that.way you can make a well informed decision about if this place is for you or not. I will focus this review on three main categories which are as follows: raises, culture, and cheap. Let’s start off with the most important factor for a job, money. They will try to start you out below what is advertised saying “they want to see how you work out”. However, even if you do “work out” you’ll have to wait a whole year before you can even have a chance to rise to the department minimum. Getting a raise isn’t clear cut at first. Production isn’t really that important, in fact, as odd as it may sound it’s the least important factor. Some of the key factors that play into receiving a raise from most valuable to least are your ability to assimilate into the culture, participation, attendance, and production. If your production is great, but missed a few too many days throughout the year, you won’t receive a raise. Another thing that isn’t great is that there is no opportunity to make extra money if you need it (i.e. bonuses, holiday pay, PTO, or overtime) unless your tier two, which you can’t get until your year review. Some people have been with the company for years and cannot get tier two. (which is bull, given that you can get benefits at a factory in three months). Once you have stayed long enough to put on your resume. You can get a job that pays much better. The culture here is very triablistic. If you don’t act, walk, talk, and look like them, you won’t get anywhere. If your production is great, but incapable of assimilating into the culture, they won’t give you any advancement opportunities, or raises. It’s all or nothing with them (act, walk, talk, and look), if your missing one of those four traits, your out. The management claims to value their employees, but they don’t. One department is forced to walk across the parking lot, just to use the bathroom (even in the rain, snow, or cold). There is a bathroom in the building they work at, but they are not allowed to use it, because they are not worthy. New people park on the street. Once in a while management will try to invent their own laws on how to part on the street, and will threaten their employees with a write up. You don’t have to listen to them. They don’t have any legal authority to enforce such a law, so long as you follow city law for parking on the street. The management is very cheap, and will try to extract as much money from you as they can. Your uniform is $40. They will claim it’s normally $80 (which it’s not) They buy in bulk, so they are not paying nowhere near $40. The annual Christmas party cost money to attend, and they will hold it against you if you don’t go (denial of a raise citing lack of participation in company events). One year not enough people went to the Christmas party, so the owner gave those that went to the Christmas party a Christmas bonus (There’s no yearly Christmas bonus) out of spite to make the employees that did not (or could not) go feel guilty. Sometimes after the Christmas party the company will receive free treats from various business, and they will try to sell it back to you just to make a quick buck. I know it doesn’t sound like much, but it’s more of the principle behind it. They receive a free gift (Remember you paid for the Christmas party) and will shamelessly try to sell it back to you. Lastly, this place isn’t the worst it’s hard to get fired, and the job is very easy. All you do is go down a checklist. If you don’t want to learn, be in a challenging position, or are just desperate this is a decent job to hold you off until you find something better.

Pros

Days for casual dress.

Cons

Poor management drives away good employees. # Elitist Tier system that’s comprised of new people not getting Holiday pay or Paid sick leave. It bodes well when people come into work anyways because they can’t afford to stay home so they rather would come in with an infectious disease. FORGET ABOUT PAID TIME OFF AFTER 90 DAYS because that’s unheard of here... The CEO does everything in his power to UNDERPAY and over-utilize you. Tech floor is like the wild west, after others would trouble shoot -problems would be discovered & they would get swept under the rug, & they wished to ignore it and address it again if it comes back in instead of rectifying the issue right then. there is systemic corruption of the quality of repairs. Not up to Panasonic standards. Full disclosure the boss man/land lord doesn’t let employees use the bathroom in the north building. Of course technically we were always “allowed” but only in case of emergencies. Just skating the line of being or not being an Osha violation. Heartland Customer solutions is cheap. You pay for your uniform shirt. It’s $40. You pay admission to the christmas party. CEO promised a bonus one year at a social & didn’t follow through. He only tells some of the truth. Honesty is the first chapter in the book of wisdom, is written on his building. Hundreds of thousands are poured into lavish events and christmas decorations however if you are under tier one status you typically do not receive any bonus ever. I suspect that his party is put in place to make a profit. The Jefferson building, the one he uses for charity & other business, has white marble flooring with gold filigree. You have to wonder how much it costs to string up christmas lights on all his VPs houses actually costs. I digress..... Order anything from parts room you are waiting at least an hour to get it. It’s supposed to take just a few minutes. Management of the male variety say inappropriate things all the time & are quick to react emotionally rather than keep their wits about them & make decisions in a thoughtful manner. Just generally unprofessional. This isn’t all of the members of management but for the most part everyone is reactive and wrathful rather than thoughtful & proactive. Adhere to old school values and cater to higher ups to get a raise/promotion. I have come across three different women whom have came back from leave & had to pump breast milk in the restroom .....where other people do their business. Doesn’t bode well. This company claims to be family friendly but if you have too many absences there are repercussions, surprise surprise like anywhere else you can get a job. However, you have to try real hard to get fired as they struggle to keep people for longer than a few months. So, yay for job security.
