Pros
- Internal Technical Training on paid time provided via their "Henderson University" - Hourly Rates for lower level employees provides opportunity for overtime pay with the assurance of full time 40 hour work week. - Flex time (80 hour pay periods) - Great health/life/dental/vision benefits - CEO/Management that wants to meet you personally and constantly flies out from Kansas to National Offices - Paid Volunteer Hours for Participating in local non-profit volunteer events - Free Swag - Fun Culture, emphasis on enjoying the workplace and having fun with coworkers - Competitive Pay - Philadelphia Office (actually located in Marlton, NJ) is smaller (about 15 people) which makes it really laid back and tight knit. You interact not just with your department and your direct boss, but the office VP and other disciplines on the daily. - Paid Training time that can be used to go to seminars and classes outside of work - Relaxed Dress code (some people don't care about this but it's nice to be able to come to work in jeans, a tshirt, and converse on days that you just don't feel like donning the business attire) - Stable work (they work for companies that aren't going anywhere, you will be kept busy and you will not be worries whether your job is secure)
Cons
Not as flexible with end of business hours as past companies. They want you in until 4pm pretty much barring something excusable (like flexing out for a doctor's appointment or before holiday), but that's also a reasonable request given that our business associates stretch over 3 hours of time zones and it's not possible to communicate with coworkers and clients if you're always gone when they're in their mid-work day. The Philadelphia (actually in Marlton, NJ) office is smaller, there is around average of about 15 employees right now, so we don't get the entire Henderson Culture support direct like the main office in Kansas does, but this can easily be considered a Pro because I tend to like the close knit laid back atmosphere of knowing everyone you come to work with every day personally.
