Pros

You basically get unlimited PTO, if you put in the time it will get approved most the time. It has self driven success rate. It keeps the mind sharp because you do something different daily. Not a mundane job.

Cons

Ever since the president changed the job has been going down hill. Each month something changes. Our union keeps getting defunded. Stressful environment to work in. It takes a while to learn and adapt to so many changes.

Pros

It's lost a lot of the perks that drew me in the first place. The floor level people are very supportive of one another. But that's human nature.

Cons

The management is, in a reciprocation of the trope, an 'old girls club.' The criteria for those that want to get in is to 'not be threatening or easily controlled'. Everyone else is either forced out through the coordinated gatekeeping of the club, or waited out as most of the management is a temporary assignment. For the past two years I've been promised help and guidance, and I receive none. It's hard to be willing to help on special assignments when I'm punished for doing them in the first place.
