Pros

Free lunch when distributors come in

Cons

The job would be bearable if not for management. The team managers don’t have a clue what they’re doing , they just got promoted because they’re the only ones who could stick the job out for more than a few years. Genuinely scary how little they know about the job. What little they know about the job is eclipsed by how little they know about people management. New starters are given no training except to shadow someone for a few days, there’s no training plan. You’re made to feel stupid if you ask the manager questions who get angry at you for doing so (but then complain when you don’t ask them). After a few months of being at the company every new starter in our team was given more work than the current team. With the lack of training you are bound to make mistakes which management pounce on even though they’ve caused it by giving you so much work. I’ve seen 3 people leave this way. Why are new employees expected to pick up the slack? It’s because management don’t care, they have their team and will work the new starters to death. Probations are already 6 months long but they extend them to a year for any slight mistake, such as missing a non-compulsory call. They also micro-manage you to the max, but only the new starters, the team are allowed to come in any days they want and sit wherever, whilst having the smaller work load, whereas new starters cant even go to the bathroom without questions. Honestly they set you up to fail in this company, and when people leave expect you to pick up their slack as they’re on a hiring freeze
