Pros
Stable employment, wellness program, great longevity program, benefits. Good work life balance. Good incentives for hourly. Good communication in general from corporate.
Cons
Great scientists do not always make great business leaders. Finance ran company. Directors are rewarded for bullish behavior as executives turn a blind eye to inappropriate behavior, toxic work environment at certain BU's, employees transfer from this BU to much more friendly BU's, very high t/o, and stress at one particular BU that sandbags financials, execs do not take employee survey concerns serious, mid level management salary lower than national average and same level bonus as hourly employees. Directors do not follow policies as required by hourly employees, inconsistent direction from top down, constantly chasing competitors. Wastes a ton of money on foreign travel that rarely is business justified and then budgets are scrutinized to pennies. Technology in manufacturing sites is far behind competition, looks the same as technology from 80's. Management very much reminds me of high school, bullying, social clicks, favoritism, sexest, political, egos get in the way of good business decisions, values are posted, but few leaders are held accountable to follow.
