Pros

The office is one block from public transportation and across the street from Philz Coffee.

Cons

In the past couple of weeks, senior management has taken the initiative to combat negative reviews in the same way that they run the company: by glossing over reality and instead spewing cult-like positivity into the universe about Kendo and hoping it will stick. Just like a real estate listing where "cozy" actually means tiny, or "investor special" means the place is a dump, you'll find key terms in these 5 star reviews that I will help you to translate: "Entrepreneurial"- You work all day and all night as if this is the company you founded "Start-Up"- There is no process of any kind and you have to do everything manually "Passionate individuals"- People who are on a power trip and treat others like the scum of the earth "Agile" - Expect to jump through hoops to rush every product launch at whatever the cost "Nimble"- See translation above for "Agile". These two terms are used interchangeably and often at Kendo "Creative people"- Crazy people "Rewarding"- After a product launches, you'll have no hair left and your health will be in decline, but don't worry... the senior team will reap all the benefits and get the biggest bonus payouts for your work There is a reason why we are having trouble recruiting good candidates to our company. Priorities at Kendo are far from what they should be. There is a serious lack of focus on making employees feel worthy and improving the processes so that things run smoothly. Instead, the main focus is on making senior management look good, covering up the high turnover rates, and writing fake reviews on Glassdoor so people will start applying for jobs here.

Pros

There are some really amazing people to work with depending on the team you're on. Good exposure to what it's like to work on a celebrity brand and for a larger corporation (though it's also a con). They have a good selection of snacks, coffee, amenities.

Cons

There are some really awful people to work with. Lots of "mean girls" which will stay this way unless they swap out some people at the top. Huge lack of accountability, lots of blaming and pointing fingers. They have a beautiful set of principles that they don't follow. Processes are terrible - no one will take ownership and put proper ways of working in place. Kendo is best for younger folks just out of college so they can train you to believe this is the best way of working, and it's just not.
