Pros

Being paid weekly was really nice, and it's probably the one thing I miss about this job.

Cons

Let me preface this by saying I quit with no notice after 40 days. The managers were absolutely terrible. I think there were maybe two people there who weren't mean/belittling. One of the other girls at the desk was mean to me all the time. I had to know about fifty different tasks/rules, and if I asked questions I was yelled at. My managers, one especially, were mean and belittling. All and I mean ALL of the scheduling was done by seniority, so I couldn't get any decent shifts, hours or days off, even when I had requested them.Trust me, they didn't tell me that when I was hired. I was exhausted the entire time, and was expected to deal with a ridiculous amount of people, many of whom were rude/cruel. I had two customers make me cry, and one gave me a panic/asthma attack, but nothing was said/done to them. I was expected to work the rest of my shift, even though I felt awful. I asked for a transfer to courtesy clerk because the hours were daytime, and they tried to shame/bully me into staying in the position I was miserable in. They told me the pay cut to transfer would be down to 8.10, when the minimum wage here is 8.23, so that's pretty shady. The one time I tried to call in sick I was told that since they were already short I couldn't, even though I was still sick, and unless I came in they'd write me up. (When I was hired they just told me I had to give 2 hours notice).
