Pros

Overall I have enjoyed working for Learfield the last 3 years. The flexibility is something I have never experienced, especially in Athletics. The culture overall is good and I rarely feel overworked other than football-basketball season. Again, rare in athletics.

Cons

The activation side of the business has no opportunity to make additional revenue unless the sales team hits their goals. The only way I get a bonus is if we hit properly bonus. I’m on track to make the same amount of money after being promoted and going from hourly to salary. So no pay bump in all actuality. There’s so little support on our side of the business other than from our direct supervisors. It’s very clear “sales” is king and retention is an afterthought. It is absolutely better than it used to be but there’s so much more they could do.

Fun work, great to be around college athletics

Being a consultant can make you not feel 100% part of the athletic department.
