Pros

Health benefits are good. Leadership is awesome. Promote from within which is very nice. Once you have a degree it's very easy to get promoted by working hard. Lots of overtime is nice.

Cons

Well, you end up working a lot in order to try to get promoted. And I guess it isn't as much money as you would think if you went through all that work to get a degree in Chemistry. But I think that could also be the economy in general being not the greatest. Also, there's this policy where you are in competition with other members of your team. One member of the team will get the highest raise at the end of the year and one member will get put on probation. So...yeah...the work culture is pretty cutthroat. But, again, I was only working in one part of it and the company is huge so it's really hard to say definitively one way or the other.

Pros

It has taught me what I do not want in an employer It gave me experience for way better opportunities It made me realize that being a good worker doesn’t always mean being rewarded

Cons

When injured from being overworked and exhausted , they treated me like trash When compassion fatigue hit— they judged and questioned whether I belonged there rather than understood People make up rumors about you even if you didn’t do anything (it’s like a catty high school in there) Having one bad day constitutes you getting pulled in the office to be scolded If you’re a good worker, and you get your stuff done efficiently, they stuff you with more work Many individuals treat the animals like trash and are covered up by management if they are the “favorites” Most of the trainers there are absolutely catty people and will talk behind your back if you’re “too slow” or “not learning fast enough”
