Pros

You will receive lots of experience that you won't get anywhere else.

Cons

Paychecks are optional, raises and promotions are myths, benefits are a major headache. Human resources is in India now and it's not going well.

Thank you for providing us your feedback. I’m glad that you feel the experience you received was unique and hopefully it will be valuable to your career now and in the future. Did you provide feedback on the promotions, raises and benefits to the HR partner who completed your exit interview? If not I would welcome the opportunity to gather this information. Please contact me at tia.gibson@covance.com, and we can either arrange a time to speak or you can send me your specific concerns so I can look into them. You will remain anonymous. With regards to your comment on the Human Resources department being in India, we are located across the globe but don’t have any team members in India as of right now! Depending on the time of day that you call, you will be directed to one our team members in the US, UK, Belgium, Switzerland or Poland.

Pros

It has taught me what I do not want in an employer It gave me experience for way better opportunities It made me realize that being a good worker doesn’t always mean being rewarded

Cons

When injured from being overworked and exhausted , they treated me like trash When compassion fatigue hit— they judged and questioned whether I belonged there rather than understood People make up rumors about you even if you didn’t do anything (it’s like a catty high school in there) Having one bad day constitutes you getting pulled in the office to be scolded If you’re a good worker, and you get your stuff done efficiently, they stuff you with more work Many individuals treat the animals like trash and are covered up by management if they are the “favorites” Most of the trainers there are absolutely catty people and will talk behind your back if you’re “too slow” or “not learning fast enough”
