Pros

The longer I work here, the cons are starting to out weigh the pros. Pay is decent. They have good health benefits, if you are lucky enough to get full time status. You do get a free pair of eyewear on your year anniversary. PTO time off, but your manager will make you feel guilty, for using it, when you do.

Cons

Well first off, the company changed their commission structure at the beginning of the year, which affected everyone that interacts with the customer, Dr's included, if you work at an employed location. Some associates have taken a significant pay cut due to it. All it has done is bring the morale down in the stores, and make associates feel like they are not valued. This seems to be the case, every year. They take more and more away, from the people who are face to face with the customer, and are the reason LC is still in business. Also, every time the company launches a new system, to supposedly make our jobs easier, it makes them harder, because nothing ever works properly. The goals, that are given to each store, are ridiculously unattainable. And then you get belittled, for not making your goals, by your manager, as if the store made $0 dollars. There is no work life balance, because you are expected to work every weekend, and holiday. Whenever, kids are off school, you are expected to work more, because they claim it's a peak time. So if you have children, good luck ever spending time with them, when they are on breaks.

Pros

Great pay and benefits! Thankfully I work with a great team as well!

Cons

This is the ultimate rat race job, always chasing numbers and getting scrutinized for every little thing they track, including non sales things like how many inspections Opticians are doing no other Optician job I have had is so hyper focused on numbers and tracking everything. Also your total hours can get cut based on store performance on occasion. But if you can put up with that you can collect a great paycheck overall! Just know you are worth more than these "numbers" they have you chase, and create a life outside of work that reflects your true personal value and non-monetary values.
