Pros

The training that used to take place at GM conferences and from Regional Trainers was some of the best I have been a part of. If it weren't for the development in LensCrafters I would not be where I am. This is why I gave it 2 stars overall. The pay was good because there was so much turnover and if you don't mind not having a home life with family then you may like working here.

Cons

I am posting this from the view point of a regional but looking how the stores are treated. The culture when I left was toxic. I was a top performer and had a great supervisor but the Zone Vice President ran off all the Regional Manager's as well the Store General Managers. Italy has the belief that American's don't move fast enough with getting results so they fired the LensCrafters leadership and brought in someone from Italy (Giorgio Candido). From the top to the ZVP's the thought process is to work everyone to death and if they have a bad month then look to replace them. You are only as good as your last month.

Pros

Great pay and benefits! Thankfully I work with a great team as well!

Cons

This is the ultimate rat race job, always chasing numbers and getting scrutinized for every little thing they track, including non sales things like how many inspections Opticians are doing no other Optician job I have had is so hyper focused on numbers and tracking everything. Also your total hours can get cut based on store performance on occasion. But if you can put up with that you can collect a great paycheck overall! Just know you are worth more than these "numbers" they have you chase, and create a life outside of work that reflects your true personal value and non-monetary values.
