Sales is your core task, not Photography. No commissions, though. - Studio Associate Lifetouch Employee Review

Pros

Learning artistic composition and communicating with subjects. Delight of customers viewing and praising one's work. Doing something funny to capture children smiling.

Cons

Juggling too many customers in addition to phone calls. Photography-to-Sales process can be easily interrupted with customer who show up later than appointment, high volume of phone calls for appointment taking and inquiries, infants that need more time waking up to be photographed, customers who want to spend more time examining which images to order. Disappointing customers who request props shown on the website although not available at the studio. Pressure for high sales despite the fact virtually all customers come in with a coupon.

Pros

Coworkers were always friendly and great to work with. Insurance was great.

Cons

Literally everything else. Company makes major changes every few months, firing managers across the country without replacements. Did not fire a sales rep who was committing felony fraud but fired small employees with false information. Company is 90 years old but refuses to make basic improvements. Nowhere to move up and bonus is rigged.
