Pros
$$$, but you have to sell your soul for it. Consistently profitable because maximizing profit, while maintaining reputation is the goal, even if it adversely affects employees.
Cons
Top down management, where you are told what to do, when to do it, and where there is only one way to do it., Free thinking discouraged. Individual's input into the things and process that affect their jobs is discouraged rather then valued.
