Pros
The office culture depends on the agency your particular contract assigns and where you find yourself. The benefits were excellent. In spite of the enormous size of Lockheed Martin, there was a concerted and successful effort on the part of our direct project manager/supervisor to be available and offer support.
Cons
If one does not have a top secret security clearance, just about all other opportunities in your specialty are closed, but that is the chicken and egg nature of security clearances and job advancement.
