Pros
Work life balance; Good Benefits; 9/80 work weeks; Pension (although this has been eliminated for new employees). The company also has a lot of talent within its ranks at all levels. The best part of working for LM is working with the people. Even as a long term employee, I still learn something new every day on the job. This cannot be said about a lot of jobs in the workplace. Company makes an effort to hire from within the company prior to looking outside. This is smart because the company has so much talent and its nice to see them embrace it.
Cons
Mimimal opportunities to advance into Management. Limited telecommuting opportunities based upon the business area and/or program. Benefits are being downgraded with the passage of time. Hopefully they can strike a good balance and hold the benefit level otherwise this make it hard for the company to maintain current talent at all levels.
