Pros
Pay is awesome for certain positions. They poach from area companies who do take the time to train their employees. No drug test for employment if that matters for you. Usually, that’s because senior management might have issues. I’m not saying that’s here. But I’m also not saying that it’s not. Coworkers are great. Some of them have become very close friends and there is a great almost family environment. Some managers are amazing and really make the job more bearable.
Cons
There is zero trust in the employee. Everything must go through a supervisor for authority. Managers have to review EVERY claim for settlement authority. There are daily round tables that are recorded for home office. Once someone said something incorrect and they were fired immediately. Extreme culture of nepotism. Obvious that some in management used something besides their ability to get the position. People are given positions based on their friendships or familial ties with those who have power and are allowed to continue those positions even if they are not the best candidate for the job. It’s not unusual to attend a meeting where the owner gets up in front of everyone and uses profanity to address his employees. Managers are also allowed to threaten employees with termination. My favorite quote, “if you don’t like it, I’ll walk you from your desk to the door.”
