Pros

It's an exciting place to work and you get to partake in a lot of the action around 34th Street. When you have droves of people coming to see shows nearly nightly, you will most certainly have excitement and a story to tell by the time you leave work. It's a major entertainment company so there is a lot of possible opportunities for moving around departments. If you are in to live entertainment and sports, you'll definitely learn a great deal from working there and have the perks to see some of the events.

Cons

They are closed for renovations and will be for the next three summers out of the year so employment is rather unstable at the moment. The hours are very long and erratic... at least with my position, they schedule you for early or late shifts and you never know what your schedule will be until the prior week. Because of the nature of the workplace, you are on your feet quite a lot which can be exhausting. Also because of the nature of the entertainment industry, you naturally might end up working a lot of evenings and holidays including Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years.

Pros

Free rangers and Knicks tickets (amount depends on your job grade).

Cons

HR Leadership is toxic. No communication Roles went from fully remote, to hybrid, to fully in office. They renovated all of the floors so you have a fancy rooftop and “hub” cafeteria where the food SUCKS. The renovation was meant for a hybrid environment and when the forced employees back in office, many had to resign because there was not enough seating. Also, why were you hiring people fully remote from other states when you knew you were putting a RTO mandate in place weeks later? You get 1 remote day per week if you work in a good department. Otherwise, you can only work from home if you have a good enough excuse. And make sure it’s not on the same day every week! They bring in new leadership every year which comes with more layoffs for the people below them. In my few years there I’ve experienced well over a handful of reorganizations. They don’t know what they’re doing. They get rid of people who truly make a difference and will repost their position at a higher title and salary instead of promoting from within Their processes are outdated and manual. For being the world’s most famous arena you’d think they’d invest in their employees and technology systems. But they’d rather spend their money on facial recognition?? Management is unresponsive and the culture is horrible. Employee morale is at an all time low but you’re expected to want to be there because it’s MSG and who wouldn’t want to be, right?? Wrong. There’s much more to say but I’m sure you can find other reviews here with more information.
