Pros

- You get free tickets to Knicks and Rangers games if you are a FT employee only. - The venue staff is exceptional, and they create a positive and supportive environment. They are some of the few people within the company that you can trust.

Cons

- Management's promise of 1on1s as a safe space is misleading. Speaking up about concerns resulted in negative consequences. - There's a lack of accountability, and addressing mistreatment is met with denial and dismissal. - The termination process seems arbitrary, with instances of management making up reasons to let people go based on personal preferences rather than job performance. - The recent change in leadership, particularly in the HR department, has been detrimental. The previous EVP of People Practices, who genuinely cared for the front line staff, was replaced by someone lacking empathy, affecting the overall atmosphere. - The corporate staff exhibits questionable ethics, often prioritizing personal gains over team collaboration. - The weekly meetings discussing diversity hiring often create an uncomfortable atmosphere for minority employees. The discussions seem to reduce people of color to mere statistics, neglecting the need for a more inclusive and respectful approach. - While the company emphasizes reporting diversity hires, there is a glaring lack of transparency regarding compensation disparities between diverse candidates and their non-diverse counterparts. The focus on numbers appears to overshadow genuine efforts to address systemic issues and create a truly inclusive workplace. - They also incurred substantial financial losses on the Sphere, a situation that may have repercussions for employment opportunities for many individuals in 2024.

Pros

Free rangers and Knicks tickets (amount depends on your job grade).

Cons

HR Leadership is toxic. No communication Roles went from fully remote, to hybrid, to fully in office. They renovated all of the floors so you have a fancy rooftop and “hub” cafeteria where the food SUCKS. The renovation was meant for a hybrid environment and when the forced employees back in office, many had to resign because there was not enough seating. Also, why were you hiring people fully remote from other states when you knew you were putting a RTO mandate in place weeks later? You get 1 remote day per week if you work in a good department. Otherwise, you can only work from home if you have a good enough excuse. And make sure it’s not on the same day every week! They bring in new leadership every year which comes with more layoffs for the people below them. In my few years there I’ve experienced well over a handful of reorganizations. They don’t know what they’re doing. They get rid of people who truly make a difference and will repost their position at a higher title and salary instead of promoting from within Their processes are outdated and manual. For being the world’s most famous arena you’d think they’d invest in their employees and technology systems. But they’d rather spend their money on facial recognition?? Management is unresponsive and the culture is horrible. Employee morale is at an all time low but you’re expected to want to be there because it’s MSG and who wouldn’t want to be, right?? Wrong. There’s much more to say but I’m sure you can find other reviews here with more information.
