Pros
Management at Meditech have all been promoted from within. With that said, it's truly the luck of the draw and you MAY end up with one of the good sales directors who are involved with their sales people, providing them with the support in order to ensure success. If this is the case you will no doubt be challenged with the lack of solid opportunities, but you will at least be treated fairly, work with your team, and your job will be palatable.
Cons
Because of the "promote-from-within" practice, a "civil-service" type environment exists, and many of the sales directors are/have been promoted simply due to seniority. When this happens, the people underneath suffer, and a successful sales environment does not exist. Ideas are held "close to-the-vest, information is not shared among team members and there is a severe lack of mentoring. A real attitude also exists when it comes to supporting customers who have invested millions, as if they are "daring" to ask for something. Meditech cannot afford to continue to behave in this manner in order to succeed in the current, frequently changing HCIS marketplace.
