Pros

Flexible - you run your own hospital the way you want to for the most part, all hospitals have their own culture and different leadership style. Lots of freedom to set your own goals and achieve them to earn bonuses. Nice to have a team of managers to network with.

Cons

Upper management doesn't always follow through, as many hospital managers are not getting their raises or any communication/answers/help when needed. Pay is below the standard 3%-4% of gross but there are a lot of people taking a slice of the pie with an area manager and a division leader too.

Pros

Helps the hospital afford things such as advanced monitoring equipment

Cons

Took away all part time employees benefits such as pto, sick time, and holiday pay. They tried to “smooth it over” by doing a calculation based on how much you worked the past two years that decides how much of a “bonus” you get every 6 months to make up for taking away our pto, sick time and holiday pay. It’s been 7 months and we have yet to receive that. Also this is only for 2 years and then after that you’re SOL.
