Pros
Multiple layers of management leave you alone until they have a quarterly action plans then you’re needed for data entry. I have a job.
Cons
You work tirelessly to pay for multiple layers of “management” that add nothing to your hospital. It’s obvious corporate is more interested in the finance degrees with a plus if they’ve worked for a major retailer. They don’t even need a personality! I don’t even know what they do. At NVA, my team doesn’t even exist except for helping pay their inflated salaries. Servant leadership translates to 10 steps to complete a single step item, multiple people without a clue in the way, talked down to or not even at all, action plans that are time sucks that have absolutely nothing to do with patient care. You’ll be spammed by nonsense that fulfills their love of business jargon. “High level”, “granular”, “drill downs” when they don’t even have the slightest idea what a day at work looks like, but they own a dog so they can add a lot perspective. No real advancement opportunities for folks with veterinary background. Filtered transparency on business standings. Leaders do not represent their average employee.
