Pros

I was surprised to find that this is unlike the other groups out there. I've worked as an associate for VCA and relief at Banfield. NVA doesn't have anything to do with the medicine. They buy equipment we need. Ourhospital is still run the way it was 4 yrs ago before it was bought by them. They have changed some of the "business" things and nobody likes change but most of but has worked out better than we thought it would. Everyone I have met from the company is helpful and they seem to care about the hospitals. They have a great culture

Cons

We don't get to see our division leader very often and we've had a lot of change there because they have been growing so fast and they get promoted or move to something else. Wish they had CE meetings or were able to get other hospitals in nva together

Pros

Helps the hospital afford things such as advanced monitoring equipment

Cons

Took away all part time employees benefits such as pto, sick time, and holiday pay. They tried to “smooth it over” by doing a calculation based on how much you worked the past two years that decides how much of a “bonus” you get every 6 months to make up for taking away our pto, sick time and holiday pay. It’s been 7 months and we have yet to receive that. Also this is only for 2 years and then after that you’re SOL.
