Pros

New hires get taken out to lunch and get free swag. So free lunch and stuff? I can't think of anything else.

Cons

I got hired to be a customer service representative so all I needed to do was answer calls and live chats. I had to go through three weeks of "online training". I basically sat around for eight hours and watched these modules on how to use a computer. We also sat with other employees and listened to their calls. I didn't really learn anything during training. Towards the holiday season, one of my family members were dying. My family thought it would be a great idea if we visit them one last time. I told upper management that I needed that time off so I could say goodbye to my relative. But they wouldn't allow me to see my dying relative because apparently they needed me there. I begged but they didn't care. It was either keep my job or say goodbye to my relative. I have NEVER had a employer who was so uncaring. I ended up leaving. Who is so heartless that they wouldn't even let someone say goodbye to there own relative. Oh right the management of NVA is.

Pros

Helps the hospital afford things such as advanced monitoring equipment

Cons

Took away all part time employees benefits such as pto, sick time, and holiday pay. They tried to “smooth it over” by doing a calculation based on how much you worked the past two years that decides how much of a “bonus” you get every 6 months to make up for taking away our pto, sick time and holiday pay. It’s been 7 months and we have yet to receive that. Also this is only for 2 years and then after that you’re SOL.
