Pros

HR and Marketing Departments give good value to sites.

Cons

Pitch “Join Us, Stay You” which is a far cry from the truth. Within 6-8 months you will clearly see them pushing and dictating things they said they wouldn’t. Directors of the Division are overall worthless and extremely disconnected from day to day operations. They hire human health professionals to force that model on to the veterinary community (which clearly isn’t working). They can’t built systems to keep up with the growth, and fail constantly in implementing a process efficiently. They force change but can’t execute well, then put all the responsibility on the sites to clean their mess up.

Pros

Helps the hospital afford things such as advanced monitoring equipment

Cons

Took away all part time employees benefits such as pto, sick time, and holiday pay. They tried to “smooth it over” by doing a calculation based on how much you worked the past two years that decides how much of a “bonus” you get every 6 months to make up for taking away our pto, sick time and holiday pay. It’s been 7 months and we have yet to receive that. Also this is only for 2 years and then after that you’re SOL.
