Pros

Being a large corporation, they have more money that can be spent on better diagnostic tools, which is obviously good for the pet. They also promote lifelong wellness for pets.

Cons

Terrible pay for employees. At our clinic, doctors, technicians, and front desk staff alike ALL complained about bad pay. Benefits were almost nonexistent. The benefits that they did offer were pathetic given the size of the company. And our clinic was one that actually made quite a bit of money- which is the other thing- It seems like they only care about how far a clients pocket book will stretch. Higher prices, call centers intercepting our calls, etc. have taken away the comforting home town feel that our clinic used to have.

Pros

Helps the hospital afford things such as advanced monitoring equipment

Cons

Took away all part time employees benefits such as pto, sick time, and holiday pay. They tried to “smooth it over” by doing a calculation based on how much you worked the past two years that decides how much of a “bonus” you get every 6 months to make up for taking away our pto, sick time and holiday pay. It’s been 7 months and we have yet to receive that. Also this is only for 2 years and then after that you’re SOL.
